The Commune of Cinisello Balsamo, Anci Lombardia, AnciLab, The Agenzia Nazionale per i Giovani and the Rete Europea Intercity Youth are glad to invite you to the fifth InterCity Youth Conference entitled “Youth Work – Learning for life, learning for labour” which will take place on the 17th, 18th and 19th of October 2016 in Cinisello Balsamo and in Milan.
The leading subject of the conference will be the connection between the skills developed through the Youth Work and the skills useful to the integration of the young into employement. In the plenary assembly and in the working groups, operators and experts coming from different European countries will be discussing the subject.
The Question Is Then..
Has the Youth Work any connection with employment? If yes, why? How?
What are the evidences?
How is it connected to the Labour Market?
What are the skills youth workers should mostly develope nowadays?
Finally, is anything changing in Italy regarding the professionals operating with/for the young?
Who are nowadays Youth Workers in Italy?
The event is intended for administrators, functional foremen, youth workers, researches, decision makers and experts working in or for Local Bodies, but the participations is open also to workers of youth organisations.
On the first day, the discussion will focus on the youth policies.
- Are Youth Policies a contemporary challange? If yes, why? How?
Experts and Workers will try to find an answer discussing also with people on the labour market.
On the second day, the discussion will focus on the young as a central element in the development and growth of terrtories and towns.
- Why are young considered as City Makers?
- What are the evidences and the physical situations in Italy and Europe?
Specific workshops and study visits illustrating situations and analysing specific cases will try to point out the role of the young and, at the same time, the new professionals, the new skills which are requested and the best methods to give the young the opportunity to express their creativity and competencies.
On the third day the works will end with the reports of three big Italian towns and a discussion among European and Italian experts on ideas and problems highlighted during the conference and on the next steps to take, underlining the European importance of non-conventional education.
